About this site

Pepecoin.ca is an independent Canadian community educational resource. It provides general information about Pepecoin ($PEP) for Canadian readers. It is not affiliated with the Pepecoin Foundation, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), or any cryptocurrency exchange.

This Privacy Policy describes what limited information is collected when you visit pepecoin.ca, how it is used, and your rights under Canadian privacy law.

What this site collects

Pepecoin.ca does not require you to create an account, sign in, submit a form, or provide any personal information to read its content. The site does not have user accounts, comments, newsletters, or contact forms.

The only data collected is anonymous web analytics data, gathered through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (collectively, "Google Analytics"). This includes:

  • Pages you visit on pepecoin.ca and the time spent on each page
  • The website you came from (referrer), if any

  • This site does not use cryptocurrency wallet connection, blockchain analytics, or transaction tracking tools.
  • This site does not embed third-party advertising networks.

Why this data is collected

Anonymous analytics data is used to understand which pages visitors find useful, identify content that should be improved, and measure traffic trends over time. It is used solely to operate and improve this website. It is not used to profile individual visitors or for advertising.

Third-party services

The third-party service that may receive data from your visit is:

This site also includes outbound links to other websites (cryptocurrency exchanges, news sources, the official Pepecoin project, etc.). When you click an outbound link, you are leaving pepecoin.ca and the privacy policy of the destination site applies.

Cookies

Because pepecoin.ca collects only anonymous analytics data and does not maintain user accounts, there is generally no identifiable personal information held about any specific individual visitor. If you believe Google Analytics may hold information that could identify you, you can request access or deletion directly from Google using the tools at myaccount.google.com.

Data retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention period (currently 14 months for user-level and event-level data), after which it is automatically deleted by Google.

International data transfers

Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates infrastructure. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in Canada.

Children

This site is not directed at children under the age of majority in their province of residence. The site does not knowingly collect information from children. Cryptocurrency is not a suitable subject for minors and this site is intended for adult audiences.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site, in applicable law, or in third-party services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days following the change.

Pepecoin.ca is an independent community-operated educational resource. It is not a registered business and does not have a designated privacy officer in the sense contemplated by PIPEDA or Law 25. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Canada and, where applicable, the province where the visitor resides.
